Practical Guide to solve the problems encountered in installation and configuration of SharePoint 2010

SharePoint 2010 is a comprehensive platform that includes about 25 services compared with 8 services, 2007. This makes installation and proper configuration of SharePoint 2010 is a laborious task, caring and sometimes a little complicated. So i decided to write a practical guide to where to find most problems encountered in the installation and configuration of SharePoint.

Problem

SharePoint requires 5 times more memory free memory disk RAM available in the Front End of SharePoint servers.

Solution

The calculation should be: If it is planned that the Front End has 8GB (Minimum RAM recommended) should have 40 GB available and estimated free Windows and SQL installed on Drive C should have a record of at least 80 GB of capacity. If it were 16 GB of RAM because we want to install Office Web Apps should also be calculated as follows: 16 x 5 = 80 GB + 40 GB (OS, SQL & SP) should have a 120 GB disk. Only for the system disk to the hard part for SharePoint 2010 databases we should talk at least 160 GB to 500 GB depending on the growth estimate. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262485.aspx # section2 & http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff431682.aspx # bkmk_server_dist

this is well known bug. After I’ve disabled SVGA driver on my VMs everything goes well now.
